The legal framework in Wallonia: what we check for you

- Registration of the lease within two months of signing
- Rental deposit within legal limits (2 months’ rent in a blocked account, 3 months for a bank guarantee)
- Joint check-in inventory carried out by an independent expert and attached to the lease
- Annual indexation upon written request, using the legal formula
- Compliance with health standards and, where required, a rental permit (student rooms, small dwellings, shared housing)
